New Year is here, time for resolution and cheer
Wow, Just looked at my resolutions on here from 2009 yes 2009!…. to sum them up they were..
- Begin fitness towards running half marathon in 2010, London marathon 2011
- Go to uni
- Charity work
- Learn to drive
- Move out of telford
- Be a better friend
Quite frankly they were rubbish resolutions.. 2 years on I still haven’t been to UNI, moved out of Telford twice, and ended up back here twice for various reasons. Still can’t drive and I still think I suck at being a friend. So that was a fail.
This year, much more realistic by far, 2009 I was un-realistic but now I have a far better outlook on life… So here they are…
- Secure a job - Sounds simple, and yes I have had a couple of jobs I thought I would stick, Thorpe Park was a fail, Kingswood was a fail. This year, hopefully Alton Towers is looking likely, however whether I stick there or not will remain to be seen. All I want right now is a job that allows me to go see some of the people I consider my best friends as much as possible.
- Look after myself more - Sounds like an odd one. But I am always putting other people first which I always will do. But I have had a couple of scares this past year which means I need to try exercise more, utilise my own strengths and become stronger in mind and body. I’d like to become healthy, not ridiculously healthy, just enough to say “I feel good”.
- Reignite a passion - I used to work towards a huge passion, a hobby if you will. Now, when I have been doing a job that I love for the last year and was very passionate about it and still am. In a way I have lost touch with a real passion something that motivates me. I intend to find something where I can make a difference and enjoy it.
- Be a better friend - I’ll throw this here again. I think my problem is I try to be too good to far too many people, and then end up neglecting the ones that actually mean a lot to me. I have already started towards this by making more of an effort to talk to some people more than I did. I’d like to build friendships and relationship between people that are stronger than ever.
There are more, but I’ll keep them private.
What are your resolutions?
